HOW TO VOTE BY MAIL IN BALLOT:

PRIMARY ELECTION (August):

Once you open your ballot packet begin by selecting which party you are going to vote for. While technically Hawai’i has an open primary, you must still select a party and vote only along those party lines and for nonpartisan races. For example,  I am running as a Democrat so I will select the democratic ballot and vote on all of the Democratic races.  I will then turn my ballot over and vote in all of the nonpartisan races. An important detail, you must completely fill in the box next to the name of the candidate you are voting for. A checkmark or an "x" in the box is not sufficient.

GENERAL ELECTION (November):

After completing your ballot, place it in the privacy sleeve and insert it into the return envelope. Don't forget to sign the envelope, or your vote won't be counted. Then you can drop your ballot in the mail, no postage required, or directly into a secure ballot box. For a list of locations visit this page on my website: (insert ballot box locations link)

In Person:

If you prefer, you can always go and register and vote in-person at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center in Wailuku.   (Click for MAP)

Not registered yet- That is OK! You can do same day registration!

HERE IS HOW TO REGISTER & VOTE SAME DAY!
