What have I done lately?  I fought for our new Veterans Home in South Maui:

Announcing the NEW Maui State Veterans HomeIn Hawaii we support our veterans with more than words.
It almost didn't happen but I made it a PRIORITY!
I worked hard to get $99Million + for our new State Veterans home in our district of South Maui.   Most of that was FREE federal dollars so it didn't raise your taxes!

Construction will start in 2028 and the first patients will live there in 2030.  Location: Mokulele next to the National guard.

I am grateful to the Governor for supporting the next State Veterans home in my district of South Maui and for his continued support.

I am grateful to the other Democrat legislators who supported this project in my district.  All will benefit!

Our new home will provide 60 beds, 100 new jobs and will infuse approximately 10 million federal dollars a year in our local economy.  Federal dollars so operations cost the state nothing and will indefinitely inject money into our economy.

This facility will benefit our veterans, their spouses and our gold star families.

It has been a pleasure and an honor to work with Colonel Driskill and his team and the Gov to make this project a reality for our community. Mahalo.
